The name of Roman Flügel's latest album, Eating Darkness, is of course a great name for this work oscillating between dark electronica with wonky witchhouse basslines, elegant pop miniatures and mildly euphoric italo disco. Flügel wants to remind us that creativity and music can be powerful counterpoints to negative emotions – even in times when almost everything has been put on hold. What he's been doing all his adult life is probably a relatable approach for all of us. Today, the jack of all trades plays alongside his longtime DJ friend Gerd Janson, on whose label Running Back Eating Darkness was released. We're also looking forward to a B2B set by our Panorama Bar residents Steffi and Virginia.
