Finest Friday

Toronto-based DJ/producer and community activist Ciel loves musical contrasts. She's just released Ecstatic Editions Vol. 1, a great kickoff album for Eris Drew's eponymous new vinyl-only label, on which she ties together the loose ends ofit can only be described as a real joy. Her penchant for the swinging, lush New York house bass drums of the 90s is, of course, shared with Berlin's ItaloJohnsons, who are also playing tonight for Finest Friday Party at Panorama Bar. There will also be sets by Nicolas Lutz and Russian deep-house DJ Vlada.
