Klubnacht

DJ/producer Azu Tiwaline lives in the desert region of el-Djerid in southern Tunisia, where she combines field recordings from her surroundings and elements of traditional Berber music with stripped-down, hypnotic techno grooves. On her recently released second album The Fifth Dream, she takes a deep dive into a meditative trance, joined by French-Iranian percussionist Cinna Peyghamy on the tombak, an Iranian goblet drum. She also sees her DJ sets as a kind of research into trance states, largely integrating tracks that have tribal influences and mysterious soundscapes. We are looking forward to hearing Azu Tiwaline make her Berghain debut at Klubnacht alongside peers such as Inox Traxx, Paula Koski and Rødhåd. Making their premiere at Panorama Bar, meanwhile, is French DJ duo Abajour. The brothers organize parties in Paris, playing regularly in clubs such as Concrete, Rex and Machine du Moulin Rouge, where they combine a wide range of styles from techno and house to new beat, 90s trance and disco.
