Klubnacht

Amsterdam-based Japanese DJ/producer Wata Igarashi has developed an unmistakable sound that takes the psychedelic character of the Roman school of techno to a new level with almost surgical precision. Igarashi was a skater punk and jazz aficionado before he began to develop his studio skills as a contract producer for TV commercials. His tracks on Bitta, Midgar and his own label WIP range from intense, prime-time energy flows to magical final moments on the dancefloor; his debut album Agartha, released on Kompakt, was his take on 70s krautrock and 90s electronica. DITA, who grew up in New Delhi and lives in Bali, began her DJ career ten years ago, mainly shuttling between Balinese and Jacarese dancefloors and developing a sound that spans proto house, disco and Balearic. She now has a residency at the new superclub Klymax, which opened in Bali earlier this year under the direction of DJ Harvey after five years of planning with customised audio technology and the finest wood. She will make her Panorama Bar debut at this edition of Klubnacht.
