  • Jinjé Live

As a founding member of the experimental Leeds band Vessels, known for defying categorization, Lee Malcolm has a wealth of experience in breaking boundaries of genre. With his solo project Jinjé, he explores unconventional soundscapes that combine the acoustic with the electronic, the synthetic with the organic, demonstrating his talent for harmoniously uniting seemingly contradictory elements. After releases on Messrs. Kick & Drum and Ostgut Ton, his latest EP was released on Mesh, Max Cooper's label. Detailed layers of ambient dub meet trance maximalism, glittering pads meet house with R&B vocals, all with a surreal weirdo-pop catchiness. Jinjé will be playing live at Säule on Sunday for this edition of Klubnacht. Panorama Bar will feature Rob Manga, Tama Sumo, Lakuti and Soundstream, a quadruple threat that has already provided many lessons of love in this configuration at this venue. Kim Anh, an American DJ, producer and committed queer activist, whose 80s disco-inspired house tracks have been released on labels such as Live At Robert Johnson, Gigolo and her own Can U Not Talk, will also be appearing.
