Aki Himanen & Aleksi Kinnunen - Live (Trumpet, Electronica, Drums, Fx): Trumpeter Aki Himanen and drummer Aleksi Kinnunen form an explosive duo that fuses Scandinavian jazz with the pulsating rhythms of techno music. They are constantly searching for new ways in which man and machine can create a real dialogue. Improvisation, spontaneity and musical communication are at the heart of their work. The music is dark, intense and a poetic mix full of hypnotic mental images. It is reminiscent of Scandinavian landscapes where nature and technology gently merge. A suspenseful night drive somewhere between futuristic mountains where dawn is setting and darkness fades away in a slow and wonderful way.

Opening DJ Set by Gianluca Petrella:

Gianluca Petrella is a jazz trombonist who has collaborated with internationally renowned musicians such as Enrico Rava, Carla Bley, and Steve Coleman. His career has included performances at major festivals and collaborations with prominent jazz figures. Petrella is also very active in the field of electronic music. He has worked with artists like Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer on the Re: ECM project and with Moritz von Oswald. He has collaborated with electronic groups such as "9lazy9" and "Matmos" and has explored new musical territories with DJs Nicola Conte and Ralf. For this very special performance, Gianluca will debut at Kantine Am Berghain selecting his collection of black music, spiritual Jazz and afro.
