With roots in 90s underground metal, Runhild Gammelsæter brings an almost scientific rigour to her experimental approach to music, pushing the boundaries of vocal expression. A pioneering force on the outermost edges of sound and art for over three decades, fellow Norwegian Lasse Marhaug is a true legend in noise music. The two will bring their sonic collision together with a gravity-collapsing performance.

Artist and noise musician Caterina De Nicola carves her practice from the detritus of post-consumerist culture, wielding a post-postmodern skepticism as both scalpel and bludgeon. Her work oscillates between annihilation and renewal, exploring the precariousness of modern life while hinting at the decadence of its eternal repetitions. A powerful visual artist as well, this performance will feature a dramaturgical conversion between feedback drones and harsh noise.

Bendik Giske wields his saxophone like a fifth limb, transforming the act of playing into full-body-and-soul performances that are equally acts of intimacy. Rooted in the traditions of his Norwegian upbringing, shaped by the pulse of Berlin techno and haunting nights of gamelan music in Bali, Giske’s work is as unfiltered as the breath he pours into his instrument—each sharp gasp, key thud, and harmonic squeak is amplified, laying naked the physicality of his process as he lovingly eviscerates the polished expectations of traditional jazz. His mastery of circular breathing turns his sax into a perpetual motion machine, exhaling pulsating hypnotism.
