Naming itself after the German word for “patron of the arts”, Mäzen supports artistic, cultural and musical expression while preserving cultural heritage. After a series of community events at Giri, Mäzen is hosting its first full-blown club night at Säule featuring techno veteran Dave Sumner aka Function. The DJ/producer is founding member of Sandwell District and owner of Infrastructure NY, known for a hypnotic, atmospheric and rhythmically precise sound – in his sets as well as his own tracks. Although he's no stranger to Berghain, this will be his first time playing Säule. Playing for the first time anywhere in the club is Sanna Mun, an interdisciplinary artist whose sound goes from ambient to raw techno. Sanna is presenting a live set that reimagines cuts from her various releases, which habe been released by the likes of Modwerks and Repetitive Rhythm Research. Rounding out the lineup is Sarah Wreath, who's been part of Mäzen since its first event in April of last year.
